What ACTORS that you DON'T LIKE are in MOVIES that you do?

PAULA PRENTISS in STEPFORD WIVES. While listening to the airhead robot ladies forced to go to their women's meeting rave about spray starch, PAULA says (under her breath): "Holy Cow..."

(I'm watching it now on TCM.)
I really like THE STEPFORD WIVES. Each time I watch it, like right now, it strikes me as incredibly creepy. PAULA is great in STEPFORD WIVES, but I can't warm up to her. Okay, maybe it's the husband RICHARD BENJAMIN team-thing (sorta like TRISH VAN DEVERE... but I don't blame GEORGE !!!)

What ACTORS that you don't like are in movies that you do?

Jon Voight in Varsity Blues. I've never really liked him at all, but I like Varsity Blues and he pulled off the a-hole West Texas Redneck football coach off pretty decently.

Ewan McGregor in Big Fish.- Usually not fond of his works but this was a decent movie he did well in.

William Baldwin in Virus and Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October. These guys draw attention to themselves by threatening to move to Canada whenever a politician they don't like gets elected. So, okay, now that I've noticed you, neither of you have any screen presence whatsoever. You're like a mildly bad odor in otherwise good films.

Tim Robbins in Erik the Viking, Jacob's Ladder and The Hudsucker Proxy. I'm not sure why, but I've never cared for the man's acting (he's okay, nothing great). Or maybe it's his politics (or at least his outspokenness about politics as though he were some kind of authority--you know, typical actor stance).

George Clooney in O Brother Where Art Thou?. I don't really like his acting style or his politics but he is awesome in that movie.

I don't like Abbott and Costello at all. I generally don't find them to be all that funny, but I love the film "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein."

I've yet to see him in something I like. No matter what his characters are doing-he has this smug look on his face.

Milla Joevevich in Resident Evil movies. The first two at least.

Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment.

The movie is a little hokey and unbelieveable. She's in her mid twenties and Sean Connery in his 70s and they get together? Sure he's a hunk even at that age, but still.

The movie's a little a silly but that's why I like it. But I don't like her. Never have, never will.

Hey that's not a stretch for her ... in real life she is married to Micheal Douglas a mere 25 year to the day older than her.

Lol, I thought Cheezeflixz got it all, , ,but I don't like any of those movies. .. But, I like Minority Report, and also can't stand Tom Cruise.
I really don't care for Keanau Reeves, but like The Matrix quite a bit.
Can't stand Travolta, but liked Swordfish (a little anyways)

Well..., I like TIM ROBBINS, but I getcha... to each his own; I think persons who admit liking films starring characters that they don't like is wonderful.

There are a lot of actors I don't care for, wouldn't have a beer with even if they were buying but I like there movies.
Tom Cruise, Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, George Clooney (an he is a cousin of mine, thankfully distant), and about any other actor that wants to get all preachy and think that by virtue of their acting ability their worldly opinion matters. There might be some folks that might believe that is Sean Penn or George Clooney believes this or that, then they should believe it too. Ok lemming, you do that I for one will form my own opinion without the deep emotional insight of Susan Sarandon ... however I'm all for seeing her scantly clad in the hunger or dancing in lingerie in Rocky Horror. Shut up Susan, strip down and try to act. (Ok the women is now 61, but she's still not bad though.)
