Night Patrol (1984) / Video Vixens (1972)

     I happen to rent these two awful comedies on the same fatefull, or is it fart-full, night so i figured i 'd do a two-fer here. 

    night Patrol is the most unfunny comedy ever made.  Of the thousand or so jokes maybe a handfull are funny and even then just barely.  most painfully, we are witness to maloderous comedy club performances and led to believe, via some very well paid extras, that people are actually enjoying themselves.  no no no.  Linda Blair must have owed someone a big favor to appear in this LA flotsam.

           Video Vixens is slightly better but still awful.  The joke is that via a series of useless and very editable events there is a stag film awards show, like the oscars.  parts of it are sort of funny and there is alot of nudity, but too much of this extraneous plot i won't get into.  It's also a Troma re release so you're subject to all that bs.

I recall NIGHT PATROL being not great or funny but watchable, simply because I couldn't believe director Jackie Kong actually thought this stuff was funny.  I couldn't wait to see what happened next: how could she make the next joke less funny than the one it preceded?  She usually found a way.
