Brian Doyle Murray

I watched him pop up in movies for years before I ever made the connection that he's Bill Murray's brother. Shows real talent if you can have a more famous relative and still manage to achieve "that guy" status.

I actually had a "that guy" moment when Morgan Sheppard showed up on a Criminal Minds episode I watched earlier tonight.

I remembered immediately that he's probably one of the top "that guys" for me. Of course, as with many of the actors in this thread, I read up on him some time ago and he technically stopped being "that guy." So really, I had a "hey, it's Morgan Sheppard" moment. Same thing though. :teddyr:

How about Marc Lawrence, who always played a tough guy, mobster type. My biggest recollection of him is the 1978 Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn movie Foul Play.

Clu Gulager..
Return of the living Dead. Was probably His most famous work.

And when he shall die
Take him and cut him into little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

I had no idea what his name was until now.
He played the warden in The Shawshank Redemption.

John Glover kind of lost his "That Guy" status with his recurring role on Smallville, although that role still fits with the smarmy businessmen and creepy bad guys he plays so well.

He was great as The Devil in that short-lived Brimstone TV series.

James Tolkan, everyone's favourite gruff, bald-headed authority figure.

Harve Presnell

He played the grandfather in Fargo and was generally known for playing a grumpy old man.
I didn't know that he died this past June.

Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you the ULTIMATE "That Guy"...
Mr. David Patrick Kelly

Yup lol. I remember him best as Sully from Commando (1985)

Cindy: What happened to Sully?
Matrix: I let him go. ...

Speaking of Schwarzenegger movies, anyone mention Bill Duke yet?

My favorite "Hey! Its That Guy" would have to be George "Buck" Flowers. He usually played a drunk or homeless person. His probably most famous scene was in Back To The Future as the homeless man(Red) who is sleep on the bench and yells out "Crazy drunk driver!"

He also played the crazy homeless man in Escape From New York
