I'm using this special blue font to celebrate the birth of my latest nephew, Carson!


Actually, cancel that, that font color is damn hard to read with this background..

Anyway, to recap, they induced my sister yesterday (Tuesday) morning, but the nurse was unable to get the water to break.  When the doctor came along they did some tests and it turns out the baby was face DOWN, instead of up, and had they tried to deliver the baby that way, it might have broken the little guy's neck.  So, they did a C-Section, and everyone's doing okay, if a bit tired.

Stats: The baby weighed in at eight pounds and twelve and half ounces. 

This makes me an Uncle for the SEVENTH time, and my sister a mom for the fourth time.

It's great being an uncle; you get to do all the fun stuff with the kid, but don't have to change diapers, punish them, be awakened late at night screaming, etc.

Yeah, sadly, I don't get to see them as much as I'd like, being that they're in another state and all. 

On another note, just wish the boys were into the same cool stuff I was when I was young, like action figures, dinosaurs, and whatnot.  Nope, they're both car nuts.  I mean, how many times can you play with Hot Wheels and racetracks?

Don't forget, being an uncle means you can mess with the kid, for instance:  if they wind up being a prick at the age of two mention the monster under their bed.  Take that evil 2 year olds!

Don't worry about the kids and cars.  I think they go through phases.  At least I did.  On the other hand, little Andy plays with plastic army men, Godzilla figures, and Hot Wheels cars.  Ever seen a bunch of plastic army men attack Godzilla while mini cars zoom around?
