Most of you probably already know this, but if you have Netflix, you can see a lot of films and TV shows instantly on your PC.  Right now they've got a lot of neat B-Movie flicks on there like Toxic Avenger, Westworld, A Boy and His Dog, Devil Times Five and several others.  Good for when you're waiting for another DVD to arrive.

Me, personally, I mainly use it for shorter stuff, like TV shows or comedy specials (just got down watching the latest season of Penn and Teller's Bulls**t, for example.)  Not opposed to watching movies on my PC, it's just the chair in front of my TV is a lot more comfy than my computer chair...

But, I figured I'd pass along the info.

There is a way also, to play movies from your PC onto your TV (well, several in fact), but the resolution on some TVs isn't quite as good..

I've got a bunch in my Watch Instantly queue.

The bummer part for me is that I live in what seems to be the only place on the planet where broadband access (both cable and dsl) have traffic caps. For cable with a 1mbit connection, you're allowed 15 gig combined up and down, dsl has a 2 gig limit, but unofficially they claim to not be enforcing it (I bet they do once a serious user subscribes and starts using 5+ gig a month.).
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Good movie.  One of my favorite apocalypse-styled movies.  Actually it is one of my favorites of all time.  I really liked the Escape from LA sequel too.  It is kind of made like a remake but is actually a sequel.  I didn't think it was quite as good as the first but the ending is AWESOME!!!

Mofo Rising

A bit of news, Netflix has announced that they are teaming up with Microsoft to send streaming video through your Xbox 360. If you have both, like I do, then this is good news. Releasing this fall.

There is also a free bit of software called vmcnetflix, which will allow you to stream Netflix movies to your Xbox if you have Windows Media Center. It's a bit buggy and kind of slow, but it will work.

If you don't have an XBOX 360 and you don't want to watch on your PC, you can buy a nice set top box from Netflix ofr $99.00. It has HDMI and composite hookups. Just connect it to your tv and Internet and you're ready to go!

When IW comes available on the game console later this year, I'll be checking out Rabid Grannies & Body Melt asap.
