McCain unsure how many houses he owns
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.

"I think — I'll have my staff get to you," McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. "It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you."

The correct answer is at least four, located in Arizona, California and Virginia, according to his staff. Newsweek estimated this summer that the couple owns at least seven properties...

Which  most are owned by his zillioniar wife (including a apartment for there college daughter), I wonder if McCain got any sweetheart deals from the felon Rezko and CountryWide?

I see this less as a "old guy who's so rich that he doesn't know how much property he owns" and more along the funnier lines of, "the senility hits a brand new level". "What? Home? Who wants to put me into a home?! Who are you people?! Where's my medicine!? Stop taking my picture, you're stealing my soul!!!" :buggedout:

Senility appears to be hitting Grandpa Munster a bit.

I've never seen him lost without a teleprompter and he knows how many states we have, and having to many houses to count doesn't put anything above your pay grade.

Oddly "The One" made over 10X the money "The Old Guy" made last year according to the 1040's released.

I see this as a non-story.  The houses are investment property.  If you asked me how many mutual funds I own, I couldn't tell you off the top of my head.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Well this will endear him to the American public  :teddyr:

I think this is a non-story, but as inflating tires became a big issue among people being willfully ignorant, it will be fun to see the gander get sauced.

The stupidity in saying we need to just inflate our tires and get tune-ups is the claim was made that would offset all the oil we'd get from drilling or about 12 million barrels a day. This assumes that ...
1. We're to stupid to keep out tires inflated and
2. We all drive old cars that require tune-ups.
Most cars today do not require conventional tune-ups. (Plugs etc changes at 100K) and assuming your tires are under-inflated, having proper inflation will improve your gas mileage by 3%. It was nothing more than a naive and uninformed statement and not much of an energy plan.

Captain Tars Tarkas

And where does he say that it is his energy plan?

And where does he say that it is his energy plan?

Exactly, he hasn't got one nor any other plan for that matter.

The only way I can relate to this is to say there have been a few times when I couldn't remember where my house was. I can , however, tell you that senility had nothing to do with it.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

It was his response when someone asked him about his energy plan.
I think that this is getting hyped out of a misperception that this shows McCain to be the "elitist" that Obama has been called. But, excepting maybe some special Marxist definition, "elitist" does not mean "wealthy person". Americans who aren't Canadian deep down inside don't mind other people being wealthy, we dislike wealthy people who favor policies that would keep other people from getting wealthy.
