I still have my first screen name.
It's the serial number off my bike.
When I signed up for my first email account, the name I wanted had already been taken, so I just rattled off that number.
If you've ever owned a Kawasaki, it's a habit you get into.
It's not enough just to know the year & model, you need to memorize the series letter, & the six digit sub series.

Or a remote control vendor XD

My pseudonym, as I've said before, is just something you'd expect a sinister b-movie corporation would be called. Though it may have been partially inspired by the Dark Horse Comics miniseries "Aliens Vs. Predator: War"

Lol, I actually PMd him and asked him that when I was new to the boards. I thought maybe he sold RC car stuff.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Derf

When I was a kid, there was a local horror movie host around here called Count Vesco. His sidekick/Igor-style character was called Derf. I thought the name sounded funny as a kid, and it took me a while to figure out it was just Fred backwards, but I liked it. When I started playing video games on a computer (an Apple ][e), I started using the name to label my high scores because the d, e, r and f keys are all close together and were quick to type in so I could start another game.

And incidentally, no, my name isn't Fred; it's Don. I know a Fred who likes to introduce himself as Derf, pronouncing his whole name backwards, but I had also been using Derf for many years before I met him.

My avatar is Max from Steve Purcell's Sam & Max comics. I played Sam & Max Hit the Road way back in 1993, and it was one of the funniest video games I had ever played (and still is). I liked the characters even without having read the comics, and so I eventually came across a picture I could modify easily enough to use as an avatar here. I've gone through a couple of different images, one I created and one I found, but I think Max will stick around for a while. I like the little furball.

Sister Grace

I've been called sister by many for years, you know the old line... "I love you like a sister." Yeah, i'm usually the sister, never the girlfriend.... and somewhere along the way, my friends started calling me Sister Grace.

Occasionally I'll go into other forums, and I often get asked if I'm a nun. Considering some of the forums (i.e adult nature) that I frequent, thats pretty hilarious.

As for my avatar, I'm always telling my family that one of these days they will finally get to me and I'm going to stick my head in the oven (I consider that the classiest method of suicide...just kidding) which would be interesting seeing as my oven is electric instead of gas....

As mysterious as mine may seem, it's actually just my first name.  I'm very creative that way.

How about the avatar? I'm guessing that's not your high-school yearbook photo.

That's Melissa Moore from Sorority House Massacre 2 - Nghty Nightmare.  My favorite movie  :teddyr:

JJ80

The screenname JJ80 is simply derived from my christian and middle names Joseph John and the second half of my year of birth 1980. I chose the various "Gorgo" avatars because it's my favourite monster movie. The other character that I occasionally use is a puppet called "Wordy" from an old children's TV show called "Look And Read".

Dennis

After spending a fair amount of time reading the reviews and threads on this forum I decided to register. I used my first name.

So what's your name mean, Ghouck?  Is it a contraction for "ghoul suck"?

Your suicides, you do them with pride,
you do them every year:
you hang yourself from the branch of a tree,
the branch it breaks, I fear.
Your suicides, you do them with pride,
that hotel in King's Cross:
you overdosed on heroin,
'till the use of a limb you lost.
Your suicides, you do them with pride,
that time you slashed your wrists:
your blood it clotted quickly,
your blood was just too thick.
Your suicides, you do them with pride,
in your car with exhaust fumes:
some nosy parker came along,
your suicide was doomed.
Your suicides, you do them with pride,
but are you really sincere?
You say some day you will succeed
but you're ninety-three next year.
