This isn't much of a topic more of an observation. Did this happen to anyone else????
What was the last film you cried at.

C'mon, we've all cried while watching a film...

Haven't we ?

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

I've brought this up in other similar threads but Finding Nemo ALWAYS gets me at the end.  Particuarly when Nemo swims back to give his dad a big hug and tells him "I love you" and its ok to let go.  I've already decided that if any of my offspring do that on their first day of school, I won't be going to work for emotoinal reasons.  The scene is much more touching if you're a parent.

Haha!  Hilarious!  File your response under the "WHOOPS!" category.

He was talking about "Finding Neverland".  Which is a completely different movie!   :bouncegiggle:

Well, no. But I do get a little misty sometimes.

One thing I'm a sucker for is father-son stuff.  Darksider mentioned "Nemo". That didn't particularly get me (in fact I always wondered about people who get teary in real life on the first day of school). But "Frequency" gets to me.

And the end of "It's a Beautiful Life" really did a number on me.

(edited) Just to clarify, I'm talking about this Italian film with Roberto Benigni.

Same here.  Field Of Dreams is another one for me.

Don't know why, but this always gets me.

Also, for some reason, these movies.  I can't say I've cried, all out bawled, but get a little misty.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial- The part where Elliot and ET are saying good-bye at the end.
Little Monsters- the end, when Maurice the monster and Brian are saying good bye.
All Dogs Go to Heaven
The Muppet Movie- Gonzo singing "I'm Gonna Go Back there Someday."  And, Rainbow Connection.
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

At the end of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, when Capt.  Miller is dying in the streets . . .

In THE RETURN OF THE KING, when Samwise says "Maybe I can't carry it, but I can carry you!" and lifts Frodo up on his shoulders.

And in THE PATRIOT, when Mel Gibson's littlest daughter comes running after him as he rides away.
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

For me its the part where they all bow to the Hobbits.

THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL (1985) and Geraldine Page's Carrie Watts never fails to, uh, cause my allergies to act up.

Here's something I didn't know: This was originally written for television in 1953 and Lillian Gish played Carrie Watts.

I'm a pretty free cryer at many films -- I've seen "It's a Wonderful Life" now at least a dozen times, and have a ratty VHS copy at home, but several weeks ago there was a big-screen showing of it for the holidays at a local cinema -- The entire ending when all the money is coming in the door, I was honking away on my handkerchief like a foghorn.  Damn!

Nah, I'm an easy target -- if a movie manipulates me well, I have no trouble turning on the waterworks.  Contrast that with movies that try too hard to hit that target & I end up despising:  "Mr. Saturday Night".  That film was going for an all-out weep-fest at the end, and instead just made me angry.  Sorry, missed the boat on that one, Billy Crystal.

Same reason I ended up hating Chaplin's "Monsiour Verdoux" -- Damn, Charlie, I'll cry at the end of "City Lights" as much as you want me too, but don't ask me to weep at that repulsive thing . . .

I cry at the end of "Curse of The Cat People" too, when the girl bids her ghostly friend adieu -- This is a perfect Christmas movie, if anyone hasn't seen it --

I have no idea what this means.

Boy, that ending gets me as well.

"You can see now?"

"Yes. I can see now."

Being a girl already, I cry from a lot of things, namely movies involving animals that die (all animal Disney movies), Steel Magnolias (duh, but it's the only real "chick" movie I watch because I love Dolly Parton), the Lifetime channel makes me cry for several reasons.

However, the most unusual movie in regards to making someone cry is probably the one that made me cry the most: ZOMBIE LAKE!!!! I can't even attempt to watch it again because I just start crying.

Psycho Circus

The end of The Goonies, when the kids are reunited with their parents and see the pirate ship sailing out to sea.
Stand By Me, when River Phoenix's character gets upset when the boys are camped out in the woods.
The end of The Breakfast Club, when they're all friends and reflecting on the events of the detention, backed by Simple Minds.

I also cry during ET, Planes Trains & Automobiles and Short Circuit:lookingup:
