What movie is there that you think NOBODY hates?

I can't say I "hate" The Princess Bride, but definitely in the "meh!" category for me -- I think the problem was that the book was originally over-hyped to me . . . I read it, and was sort of ho-hum about it all/thought it was second-rate Doug Adams.  So, when the movie came out, I was hoping that it would improve upon the book, but William Goldman's book was essentially the screenplay for the film as well, so no surprises.  My favorite bit is Billy Crystal & Carol Kane as ogres --

I've met people who hate Jaws, hate Casablanca, hate Wizard of Oz (My wife cannot bear either the Munchkins or the Flying Monkeys), hate Gone With The Wind . . . I'm forced to agree that there is no such thing as a movie NOBODY is going to hate.  I even know people who hate Spirited Away, one of the most totally charming films I've ever seen.

This is a great thread topic, but after wracking my brains, I cannot think of a single, solitary film that I haven't heard someone say they hated at one time or another, for whatever reasons or lack thereof.  I think "The Movie That Nobody Hated" would be a great title for a novel -- sort of a Holy Grail kind of thing . ..

peter puzzled/denny what film could it be?
I have no idea what this means.

How about Freddy's Dead the Final Nightmare. It's my fave of the series, it's so bonkers it's impossible to hate.

My head almost exploded from that post! I think if more than a handful of ppl liked that movie, the universe would collapse!  :buggedout: Awful, awful, so bad, it's an abomination type of film.  :bluesad:

The Breakfast Club is a masterpiece, but I know many who despise it. Damn them!  :hatred:

Classics have an overhype to them all their own. Cassablanca was good, but also corny and the opposite of timeless. I'd say the same about It's a Wonderful Life, except for the 'good' part. Gone With the Wind is a very good movie but was obviously buoyed by racist southerners for obvious reasons.

The Neverending Story, though...never heard anyone hate it, hate certain scenes for certain reasons, but never hate the movie.

One film nobody hates:
Santa With Muscles.

Then again, all of about 0 people have seen it.  So technically, nobody hates it.

Well at least it was better than part 4.  Then again 98% of movies are.

I'm cool with Splash.  John Candy rocked that film.

Ok how about Beetlejuice.  I love that film and find it hilariously dark and witty.

Street Fighter, everyone loves...no...sorry.

Are you talking about the Sonny Chiba version from the 70's or the JCVD version based on the video game.  I haven't seen the SC version which I want to.  The one based on the video game was bad but good in a way.
