I remember seeing this on telly when I was a kid, I was thinking is it worth buying ?
I remember I quite liked it.
Now that I'm older, I'm thinking I might like it for whole other reasons :teddyr:

Is it good, does it still hold up?
It wasn't Earth shattering but I think it was a pleasent enough way to kill 85 mins.

I believe that one 's a remake of a groovy 1958 B-Movie. A friend of mine says the original version is pretty good b-stuff.

Check it out on IMDB. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051380/

IMO, the 1958 movie is probably better worth a view, but you can check out the info of the 1993 TV movie at this link;

Two Words: Wasted Opportunity

Christopher Guest has done so much better work.  It was clear he viewed this project a quick paycheck.

The movie did have some good points.I liked how her size was a bigger (no pun intended) part of the story.  Strangely, the effects were only marginally better this time around-some 40 years later.  A few forced perspective shots were nicely done, but when you think about it.  They might have been able to pull shots like those of in the origianl if the story had been different.

I suppose its a harmless movie-but I remember wanting to see it when I first saw it advertised then let down when I actually viewed it.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

This thread inspired me to order Attack of the 60 Foot Centerfold  :bouncegiggle:  Directed by Fred Olen Ray and scoring a big 2.3/10 rating on IMDb, this has gotta be good stuff!  I remember seeing a bit of it years ago.

My friends and I wondered the same thing when we saw the original, there were two schools of thought, one was that the alien radiation had the same effect on her clothes as it did on her, the second was that it was illegal to show a naked woman in a movie. Doubt was cast upon this last opinion when the brothers, Paul and Jimmy said that their father and uncle and assorted friends had been in the garage watching movies with naked ladies in them just before the uncle's wedding. This caused a big argument that was only settled when the oldest member of the group (we were all between 8 and 10, he was almost 13) stated that there were certain parts of a woman's body that a guy just didn't want to see. That was that, after all he was older, he had more experience in this sort of stuff. I think he lives in West Hollywood now.

I have a poster for the original on my wall...a female friend took a close look at it and commented, "All the little tiny people she's standing over are looking up her skirt."

I have that poster too, similar and less tasteful comments have been made.

One example: What happens when it becomes "Attack of that time of the month?"

I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

the best I've heard has been a comment along the lines of "attack of the 50-foot vag"

What are those firemen hosing down ?

I have no idea, could they have not just shown a fire engine driving towards her?
