I'm looking for a movies about Custer's Last Stand. It was one as they were leaving the fort they were playing the 7th calvery theme. I thought it was in color, (I maybe wrong).

There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

Maybe Son of the Morning Star or Little Big Man or They Died WIih Their Boots On?

Y'know, what're the odds, Custer dying in the last battle he fought?
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

There's also "Bugles In The Afternoon" with Ray Milland from 1952.

I've seen all three of these, plus most of the other movies made about the subject, but the only film I can remember where they played "Garry Owens," which would be the theme for the 7th Calvary theme, would be "They Died with Their Boots On." The only problem with that, is I remember it being in black-and-white.

They definitely played that song in Little Big Man too. The wikipedia page on for it has a list of movies it was in: Gerry Owen

This weekend I got both and will have a look.Watching They Died with their Boots on. Thanks I think it was the movie I was looking for.
Update: It was They Died with their Boots on. I had never seen it all the way through when it was on TV. I always caught it halfway through. This can be moved to solved.

O.P. Teklord1 confirms + personally requests that this be moved to Solved! Phew, an easy one.
