Where did guys get the impression women want a public proposal?  That puts a girl on the spot and makes her think you're forcing her into a situation where she can't say no. I always figured these types of situations occur when a guy isn't so sure she'll say yes so he intentionally pulls a stunt like this so she has to say yes

This is coming from a girl who has said no ;-)

Actually I don't know for sure who it is... I'd guess it's Martin Denny, but it could equally be Arthur Lyman, Les Baxter, or any of the other exoticians... as for the title, I haven't a clue!  I can't place it but I like it!
