The point of that television event was to generate support and funds for the Red Cross.  It was there for neither political statements nor stirring up racial acrimony.  It would be the same if he showed up during the Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon and announced "George Bush doesn't care for black MD children".  You want to make a political grandstand, do it on your time and on your dime.  If you're there to help, help; otherwise, let someone in there who stay on task.

And, no, I don't give a rat's patootie about George Bush, so this isn't in support of him.
