Oh WOW, you really took me back with that one, mate!   The thing I remember most about that show was this character they called "Jerome".   

The skit would open with this human hand drawing him with chalk, and Jerome going "oh boyy!" followed by his nonsencical jibberish as he went thru his little world of adventure. 

That, and I think there was a character called Gary Gnu. "No Gnu's, is good Gnu's
with Gary...Gnu."
