This is just awful.
The television executives at Fox have stooped to an all-time low with this one.

QuoteDarnell said he wasn't concerned about the emotional fallout in a workplace after "Someone's Gotta Go," where an employee might be left to work with a colleague they'd just said on national television should be fired.

"Sounds like good reality television,"

Sounds utterly pathetic to me, but I guess it's what the public is drooling for.

"Ooh, will we get to see former friends and coworkers screaming at each other and hating each other?  Will we get to see someone despondent and depressed because they were laid off, maybe even turning to alcohol?  Oh goody goody, I'll get the popcorn!!!"
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

As reprehensible as it is, people will watch it, and for pretty much the same reason they watch any other reality show: schadenfreude.   :teddyr:

"Tonight, we will honor the greatest writers in America with a modest 9 by 12 certificate and a check for three thousand dollars...three thousand dollars? Stephen King makes more than that for writing boo on a cocktail napkin." - Jimmy Breslin

Only from Fox would an idea like this arrive...

God, they'll make a TV show out of anything these days.  I would hate to have seen them during WWII.  Or the Great Plague.
