DIABLO--

Im 34 years old and am looking for a movie that I saw when i was 8 pr 9.

The main of the movie was...a small town trapped under some alien control, and the town was surrounded by some sheild, and no one could leave.

This may have even been a tales from the darkside, twilight zone or something.  I saw it in the 80's but I believe it was a late 50's early 60's flick, it seem like it was in color.

What you've described sounds like an episode of the OUTER LIMITS.  The new series.  May have been a retread of an original series episode.

Hope that helps.

Could have also been the BUBBLE(1966) directed by Arch Obler.

I'd bank on that being the right movie.  Man, RC, you remember movies that I thought no one had heard of.  Have you ever seen "The Bubble" in 3D?  Rhino released it.  Great stuff.

Could it be an episode of The Twilight Zone called "It's a Good Life" ?  With Billy Mumy as a child with phenomenal powers who isolated the farming town he was born in - the inhabitants don't know if the outside world still exists and cannot leave.  I seem to recall it was surrounded by a wall of fog?  The episode served as inspiration for one of the segments in Twilight Zone: The Movie and there was sequel to it called "It's Still a Good Life" in the new The Twilight Zone (2002-2003).

"It's a Good Life" was originally a short story by Jerome Bixby, written in 1953. In 1970 it was voted by the Science Fiction Writers of America as one of the 20 finest science fiction stories ever written.
