...lest we ever forget June 6, 1944, to those veterans who remain with us from all Allied nations and to those who are gone, my humble thanks for your service on that Day of Days.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

A lot of good men died that day.  And a lot of brave young men who were fighting in a horrible, horrible cause.

May they rest in peace.  May we never, ever forget.

Freedom is not, and never has been, free.
