I'm just thrilled I made it onto a list or two. I can't talk, I have an absolutely horrible ability to remember names, and online usernames are no exception. I can remember avatars, faces, events, ideas, actions, but names are a problem, unless there is repetition or something particularly striking or some kind of synergy, like an agreed upon idea or ideology. For instance, I always remember Circus_Circus because we share a disdain for CGI, though his may surpass my own. Or, I remember if it's someone I've disagreed with or had some kind of friction with. It's a horribly anti-social condition and I don't wish it on anyone.

The character Kilgore Trout in Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions had a similar problem. He couldn't remember someone's name unless there was something strikingly unusual about them, like a cockney midget bartender that he knew from his local watering hole. As a result of this problem and my misanthropic nature, I am often unpopular.

So, thanks for remembering.
