Boo! Ear infections stink!  I get swimmer's ear a lot and it always drains at night when I'm laying down.  I think I have a kink in my ear canals or something because I get water stuck in them all the time.

I'm going to the doctor today too! Yay!  I think I have an upper respitory infection or something.  I've been sick for 2 weeks and I sound like Louis Armstrong.

I hope you feel better!!

Oh wow, sorry to hear about your respiratory infection!  Hope treating that goes okay!

Strangely enough, the first time I put vinegar in my eye, it stung a little but not too bad, as it did for the second and third time.

I think I've pinpointed the problem.

Kidding aside, I imagine the vinegar is doing pretty much what it does when it preserves food. The combination of salt, acid, and a general lack of oxygen would kill off whatever bacteria is hanging around inside your ear. So, in a sense, you're pickling the inside of your ear.

Hope your ear gets better. My brother went swimming Saturday evening and his ear didn't drain until Sunday afternoon. Now that I think about it, rowdy kids were involved in that case, too. I'm sensing a pattern here...
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Otitis externa!

The drops we usually use for that contain vinegar and a mild steroid.. then there are marcaine drops you can use for pain.  Right, though, oral antibiotics don't work for otitis externa.

Hope you feel better soon!

You know, my ear is feeling better, but now the vinegar is burning my ear more and more.  Not sure why, guessing maybe the vinegar is drying the skin out, making it more sensitive to further applications.

Maybe it'd be okay if I stop (or at least lessen the vinegar for a bit.)  Trying calling the clinic, but no one answers the damn phone (one thing I hate about the place I go, they've got this system where if the line is busy, instead of getting a busy signal it just rings over and over again.)  At least, that's what I've been told...
