Name of a 90s X Men-like movie

Ok, i am having a really hard time with this one, so any help would be amazing! I don't remember much because I was very young, but in the early-mid 90s there was an X Men, or X Men-like movie that came on, if i remember correctly it was broadcast on TV over a two night period. I say it was like x men, but really all i remember is a kid having cyclops' abilities...wish I would be of more help.
