I don't think there was a bear.. an invisible horse, though.   It was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon and released in 1979.  The old prospector is a ghost.  The girls work for a ranch owner and the ghost is helpful to the girls and harasses the grumpy owner.

Yup, Galloping Ghost! I was thinking of The Hillbilly Bears - Hanna-Barbera.

BUFORD AND THE GALLOPING GHOST (I Googled; sue me.)

     Having a problem with picture.
This was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, prime time, about football players.

Yup; WHERE'S HUDDLES. At the time, the late Paul Lynde had three voice-over parts going at once....

Claude Pertwee, from WHERE'S HUDDLES....

Mildew Wolf, from IT'S THE WOLF, a segment of THE CHATTANOOGA CATS....

and The Hooded Claw, from THE PERILS OF PENELOPE PITSTOP.
