Welcome to the 10th anniversary of the B-Masters Cabal!  You might think that the killer is a Rastafarian SCUBA diver (because we usually only see the feet), but this film really does feature a half man, half jellyfish monster.

I actually just updated and retouched my review of this film, written in the third week of Radiation-Scarred Reviews' existence, when I was still finding my footing as a reviewer.  Fun stuff!

I always enjoy killer creature films, but this one sounds like it would leave a very bad taste in my mouth.  The fact that you mention that jellyfish creature looks more like a subca diver already worries me, but yet, I will venture forth and try to watch it at some point.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

I don't know about the movie, but that monster costume is AWESOME !!!!

It gives me a great idea for Halloween next year !  :drink:

Egon: "Look at the boat."

Dr. Richardson: "When did that happen?"

Boat: "Blub, blub."  :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :teddyr:

Someone should remind Andrew that he is a comic genius. That made me laugh so much and set me up good for a Monday!!  :teddyr:

I was intrigued by the baggy bikini bottom you were talking about, so I went over to Youtube and sat through five minutes of the "jilla jalla jella" song.  Sigh...now my will to live has been destroyed  :bluesad:

Well, the jellyfish in "Finding Nemo" almost killed Marlin and Dory, but, of course, that is not what you are talking about. Actually, except for a number of documentaries on jellyfish, this seems to be the only film that features a jellyfish as a killer. But, having said that . . .

I think somebody watched "Creature from the Black Lagoon" too many times, before they made this film. But, whereas, that film is a great film and should be seen by everyone, this--seemingly--is far from a great film and probably should be seen by no one.

While I have not see the film, it does seem to be funnier than "Creature from the Black Lagoon."

The sets
The Portuguese Man-of-War
The mole on the doctor's face
The doctor shirtless
The name Egon

But, the humor seems to be unintentional. So, why didn't they just name the character Egon Igor, so we knew they were making a comedy.

Jack

In Sphere (or maybe it's "The Sphere"), one of the characters is killed by a swarm of jellyfish.  That's the only other one I can think of right now.

1) Floating
2) Andrew, its good to see you back with the B-Masters even for a one-off.   My first exposure to this site (And all the others) was through the brain from Planet Aurous mass review.  So this wa sa sort of homecoming for me.

Why don't people ever believe me when I say that something is unpleasant?

Be careful of suffocating.  Using some sort of fan system (like the inflatable nylon cloth holiday decorations) to create an airflow that keeps the bag inflated might be safer than just putting a bag over your head.

You don't see the SCUBA diver much, except for the feet.  You see a whole lotta those flippered feet.
