In "Bilinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann (I have not heard the Springsteen version) - I heard "wrapped up like a New Shendaga runner in the night" for the line "Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night"  (Always wondered what native group that might be...and why they wrap up to run?)

Silly! Everybody knows it's really "wrapped up like a douche"!  :twirl: :bouncegiggle: :teddyr:

Yes, I also thought that was the actual line.  :bouncegiggle: :teddyr:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I think it's "...racked up like a deuce another runner in the night..."  SPRINGSTEEN fans must know what's correct.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Psycho Circus

That godawful Fall Out Boy song where the chorus goes "Dance, Dance" - I always heard it as "Tits, Tits", cracks me up every time I ever have the displeasure of hearing it.

I thought it was "revved up like a deuce," as in a deuce coupe.

Of course, even knowing that, I still prefer to sing "wrapped up like a douche, another boner in the night." :teddyr:

In Springsteen's version it's "cut loose like a deuce" and in Mann's it's "revved up like a deuce."

Cut loose a deuce? I think that's worse than wrapping a douche!  :bouncegiggle: :twirl: :bouncegiggle:

at the end where he repeats "A Denial...A Denial..." I thought he was saying "Burning Nylon", lol

also in 'Lithium' there's a line "That's OK, My Will Is Good" which I thought was "My Willy's good"

In David Bowie's awesome "Suffragette City" it sounds like he says "you ain't got time for chicken" - but the lyric is really "you ain't got time to check in".  :teddyr:

I heard the song "Know The Enemy" by Green Day today and swore instead of saying "Do you know the enemy" he was saying "Jews are the enemy..."   :buggedout:

Not about misheard lyrics, but related. I had a good laugh during our local Christmas tree lighting ceremony last weekend. The organizers had a round of informal carol singing while they got ready to light the tree. By informal, I mean no song sheets and led by whatever moderately musical person they could Shanghai on the spot. For the most part, people knew the words - until they got past the first verse. Then it was the sound of a significant portion of the crowd singing the words they knew, in between mumbling and trailing off until they got to another part they knew. Honestly, it was the most fun I've had at a carol sing in years. :teddyr: Reminded me of that SNL sketch - Ten Beatles Classics You Kind of Know the Words To.

A recent one ~ Mika's We Are Golden ~ with its' line "Teenage dreams mean a teenage circus". I misheard it the first time as "Teenage dreams mean teenage turtles"   :teddyr:
