thankful for Sera, my little miracle they said I could never have.  Thankful for Steve, who I love deeply.  My family.  Having a roof over my head and food to eat.  Thankful that the kids are healthy.  And thankful I found a good forum with friendly people....not everyone would take in a blonde cheerleader.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families.

That's suddenly made me feel all warm inside after having a rotten day so far.

My family on this board ~ including you, Paula ~ are definitely not your usual kind of people. They're genuine people.

Thankful for my family, our health, roof over our head and food to eat.  And for my good friends here, and especially to Andrew for creating this place for us!

And for movies with boobies in them  :teddyr:

Narrowing it down to the two biggest things I'm thankful for right now.

I'm thankful for my job, as less-than-ideal as it is, it's still more than some people have, and I recall well how miserable I was before I got it.  I may work with some lousy people, one of whom almost broke my wrist yesterday due to inattentiveness, but really, I can't complain.  It's good life experience and it provides enough money to pay the bills I need to pay, with a little left over for fun.

I'm thankful for the little reminders that my friends care about me.  I spend a big chunk of each day in isolation, and the people I care about are scattered across the country, making seeing them a rare treat.  Hearing from them always brightens my day, be it a beer recommendation, a silly tagged picture on Facebook, or sincerer things, like the holiday card I received yesterday.  I've gone through some rough times, and I know that without them, I wouldn't be here to thank them for all the good they've done me.

friends, family, the fact we are doing good money wise, and being part of a great forum

I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends, and that my 1 yr old isn't a terror (yet).  I'm also thankful for you all cuz you're a nice bunch...  and I'm thankful that Trevor always seems to have a cheery demeanor even when he is bearing bad news.  And I'm thankful for leftovers and that I have a day off of work tomorrow and that farts make noise.  HAPPY SPANKSGIVING!!!!!

Here is proof of that:

Still a very funny thread which always makes me smile.  Menard's crying smiley bcause he missed the picture and Bandlaus' apology for breaching the 'strict no boobies policy' also make me laugh. :teddyr:

That is the Rhodesian in me talking, Paquita ~ there is always something to smile about even in the darkest of days. An example ~ when my Dad passed, we had a five minute memorial service for him and then a party for the rest of the day. Some would go  :buggedout: :buggedout: on reading that, but a party is what he wanted and told us years before that it was, and that's what he got.

I am thankful for my wonderful parents, for if it wasn't for them I would have let my chronic depression overwhelm me by now and I would have killed myself, they are really the only reason I haven't, I could never do that to them. They are very understanding and supportive and they are really the only thing I have to live for right now. They've given me the strength to seek help and try to drag myself from the abyss that is my lonely existence. I love'em. Sorry to be so depressing.... :bouncegiggle: Happy Thanksgiving.
