B Movie Guest from Hunter (1980s)

What is the name of the actor who played a villain in the Fred Dryer series, Hunter, during the 1980s?  He had curly/wavy hair, wore a black hat and called Hunter "hoss."  I believe these were early episodes of Hunter. 

This actor also starred in several B movies around that time, too.  In one of them, his nemesis was Richard Lynch, who is always called on to play the bad guy.

Anyway, does anyone have a clue who the "hoss" guy from Hunter might be?

if you mean the guy who was a bounty hunter and drove around in an old blue cadillac drop top, that guys name is wings hauser. He gets shot by hunter in a season one episode.
