it was a horrible movie that i want to watch again just for laughs with my friends. it is about a viking like tribal civilization who for some reason set sail and on distant shores face a beast.. which was really like i guy in a suit. lol

If the Vikings were all women, it sounds like it could be Roger Corman's "The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent".
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Rev provided a good suggestion.  Another film that jumps to mind is "Teenage Caveman" (1958), which is a double bill DVD to "Viking Women and the Sea Serpent."  In "Teenage Caveman" the monster is a man in a suit.  I have reviewed that film:

NOPE. Neither of those. Thanks for the suggestions.
I believe it was fairly recent. In the 2000's. No one knows about this film. I can't believe it.

Another (albeit vague) possibility is Erik the Viking, one of two movies starring Tim Robbins that I can stand watching.
"They tap dance not, neither do they fart." --Greensleeves, on the Fig Men of the Imagination, in "Twice Upon a Time."

Shadow

I'd suggest Outlander, but that was fairly recent. Plus there was no man in a suit, the monster was CGI.

Was it Beowulf & Grendel from 2005?

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I don't know what else to do but give up.
They weren't vikings for sure.. they were just viking LIKE.
I think the title might have had the word BEAST in it. But I'm not positive.
Thank you for all your efforts!

Reminds me of a Jason and the Argonauts type of movie.
