When getting past the library part (after killing the penguin dudes), enter the middle door. Walk forward until you see a square on the ground. Don't go near it yet. Wait for the imp to follow you. When at a close (but not too close) distance, move to the square and duck quickly. The spikes will kill him. Wait for the spikes to get to the top and then exit the room. Then take the door at the right.)
