The Gravekeeper

Gradually realizing that every time I sit down to draw one of my comic's pages, there will be something in the background or some prop that I'm going to hate drawing either because it's challenging or just time-consuming. But hey, it's worth it if it looks good in the end.

Killer Bees

We've had massive flooding in our part of the world lately.  The city of Brisbane has totally shut down, there's no public transport operating and most businesses have closed.  The Brisbane River is expected to peak around 4 am tomorrow and will rise even further flooding more of the city and surrounds than already has been flooded.

My office is closed today and probably tomorrow so right now I'm just sitting at home watching the ABC 24 hour news channel and chilling out.  I'm not affected where I am.  I'm quite far from the river (can't afford those posh views!) and up half way up a hill and my apartment is on the top floor of a 3 storey building, so I've been spared the shock and distress that a lot of people have been experiencing.

My son lives 50kms north of the city and his little town, Caboolture,  has been totally cut off but I spoke to him yesterday and their house is up high on stilts so they've been spared getting flooded out.  They also have enough food to last them for a while so I'm one happy mum right now

In spite of the horror of the situation for many people, I've been enjoying my day off.  My heart goes out to everyone who has lost loved ones, their livelihoods and their homes.

Bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt
Change the fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine.......

Being undeniably sexy, as usual. But, then, I usually refrain from reporting that because it's so redundant.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Finishing off a 2-liter of Coke.  Got up 1 hour early 'cause I couldn't sleep; the alarm is about to go off on my clock so I'm gonna get up and turn it off any second.

Eating Funyuns and drinking a Diet Mountain Dew.  Mr. Fluffy is walking across the keyboard, waiting for me to get out of his chair.
