Sliced Nostrils

Here is what I remember about this film.  A guy is being held by two different people pleading to a guy in front of him holding a knife.  The guy with the knife waves it in front of the restrained guys face for a bit talking.  He then proceeds to slice the restrained guy's nostrils.

Chinatown with Jack Nicholson has such a scene.

I agree with akiratubo, that's a pretty central scene to Roman Polanski's Chinatown.

Awesome call guys thanks!  I knew the guy getting his nose sliced was a well known actor but I couldn't place it.
