Seems like most bad movies are either thrillers, horrors or comedies. Are there any thriller or horror comedies/parodies? I mean something better than Scary Movie which in my opinion is cool, but a bit lame (because the 90's-to-present real thrillers and horrors are lame). I am looking for a movie that parodies the 70's and 80's thrillers and horrors. :teddyr: Do movies like this exist?

Club Dread is one of the few horror parodies that I actually thought was funny:

Thanks to the presence of Bill Paxton. Take him out of the equation and it's not nearly as good.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Student Bodies (1981) had some pretty funny moments.  There were a lot of stupid moments too, but plenty of good, quotable dialogue.

Thanks, retrorussell! Student Bodies looks fun and it's definitely funnier than Scary Movie.

There's Nothing Out There would be another one.  I haven't seen it, but it has a small following.

Beware! The Blob is a bit of a parody sequel to The Blob, but it's an acquired taste.

Repossessed is a decent parody of The Exorcist in the same spirit as Scary Movie (predates Scary Movie by quite a bit).

I know you were asking for older films, but Slither is pretty good.

High Anxiety is a Mel Brooks parody of Hitchcock movies.

Young Frankenstein.  'Nuff said.

My wife and I just recently seen Lesbian Vampire Killers (2009)... although the movie can be seen as a rip-off from Shaun of the Dead success (it even compaires itself to Shaun of the Dead on the box) the movie is actually a parody to the sexy Hammer Horror vampire movies of the 1970's with a "Ghostbuster feel."

Lesbian Vampire Killers is a fun movie and I even thinks its almost better then Shaun of the Dead (if your compairing both films) because Lesbian Vampire Killer actually reinvents its horror story for the adult audience who would like to see adult movies without being subjected into watching a porno.

No problem.  The Breather is one of my favorite villains.

I'd suggest checking out the slasher parody Pandemonium.   It isn't exactly a great movie, but it has charm, mostly due to the standard police investigator roles being given to a Canadian Mounty, his horse, and Pee Wee Herman.

I also really enjoyed Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth , although I wouldn't call it a good movie.  It's one of those enjoyable bad movies.  I'm not going to insult you by telling you what types of movies that parodies.  It's also one of Tom Arnold's more enjoyable roles.

I laughed my head off at SATURDAY THE FOURTEENTH . . . but I was young and stupid back then, and haven't seen it since.

I've seen Repossessed and I really think it's better than Exorcist.

O. K., I'm tealy ashamed, because it's so bloody obvious . . .
"Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" and there is further a less known Alien-/Gorecomedy called "Evil Aliens". It's quit unadult, but it is rather funny and the gore takes not only the cake but a box of cookies as well. . .  watch out for the ballistic fetus!

Oh. I forgot:

I Sell the Dead (2008)

Can only make Brits good horror comedies or do I only happen to them?

Sorry for straying a bit off topic: Its not horror at all, but "Black Dynamite" is a brilliant send-up of blaxploitation flicks. I definitely recommend that one!  :teddyr:

Back on topic: Check out "Waxwork" and "Waxwork II: Lost in Time." The latter has a hilarious parody of "The Legend of Hell House" with a great cameo by Bruce Campbell!
