I loved how Barry Williams' character was named Bob Grady, a slight reversal of Greg Brady.

What's with The Asylum hauling out these former teen pop stars to feature in their films? First Debbie Gibson was in Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and now Tiffany was in Mega Piranha. Maybe we can get them both back for Mega Shark, Mega Piranha, Giant Octopus: Giant Monsters All Out Suck. :teddyr:

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

This scene from the movie is already making its rounds on the internet:

Dude, I could totally make that scene with After Effects here in my living room and it would be just as convincing.

Yep.  It really baffles me where they spend $500,000 on these films.  I mean, Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus had like 1 minute of bad CG (which was constantly reused from different angles), and only like 5 or 6 locations with about 8 actors.  I suspect a lot of their "budget" ends up being pocketed by Asylum.

I have to say, it also really makes me miss the bad old school effects in older creature films.  Yeah, they sucked, but a guy in a suit or puppets, etc, can be on screen with the actors for a long time without destroying the budget.  Made for much more entertaining films.

I kind of enjoyed this film, not because it's good, in fact it's pretty stupid, but my wife, who is a captive audience for my play by play descriptions and improvised dialogue was actually laughing, so she at least found the film mildly amusing, and I was very pleased that my attempts at humor were so well received.

Oh Tiffany, thou has cheapened oneself more than I could possibly have imagined...  :bluesad:

What?  Are you afraid the movie roles are going to distract them too much from their music careers?  And Debra Gibson looked good in MS vs GO.

Sadly I missed Mega Pirranha when it first aired, but I am determined to to see it.  It looks awsome in the way only a b-movie can be.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Tiffany was actually pretty dang hot a few years back when she posed nude in Playboy. I was really surprised. She got breasts implants that looked really natural.

But now, in Mega Piranha, she just looks like a soccer mom.

Hey man! Soccer moms are hot.

I know another film I'm throwing on my must see list.  :teddyr:  It looks like Asylum may have found a better calling than ripping off blockbusters.

The trailer looks good, this movies seems like a bunch of 7th grade boys would sit down and write.

This was by far the DUMBEST film I've seen in quite a while.

Things I learned from MEGA PIRANHA:

*The State Department doesn't consider knowledge of Spanish to be a prerequisite for a diplomatic mission to Venezuela.
*Piranhas are cannibalistic, flying, amphibious hermaphrodites that explode when they contact building materials.
*Genetic mutations are always favorable.
*In the navy, you can wear whatever hairstyle you like.
*Steering a helicopter makes the veins in your neck stand out.
*Nuclear weapons have no effect on large fish.
*Piranhas will attack boats and submarines because they know there's meat inside.
*There's nothing to eat in the ocean, so sea predators need to attack the coast.
*Fat girls can be love interests, but not until the very last scene.

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Ah, yes... Asylum studios.

Asylum is a company that cashes in on whatever is popular.
They made Mega Piranha in responce to Piranha 3-D's popularity.
Their sole mission is to make rip-offs. Here is a list of their knock-offs.
Name the rip-offs.

Transmorphers
Snakes on a Train
I am OMEGA
Pirates of Treasure Island
AVH: Aliens vs. Hunters
The Day The Earth Stopped
The Da Vinci Treasures

And the last one,

King of the Lost World. If you can guess what THAT one rips-off. I will give you a karma point!
