Archie comics introduces a gay character

Eh, I have no qualm with it.  Some might complain that it seems obligatory, but I think it's a sign that people are starting to see homosexuality as normal.  It's worked or Ikea and that dating site (don't remember if it was eHarmony or Match.com that had the gay commercial).

It's pretty amazing to me how the art style and basic story style of Archie has stayed the same and consistent for over 70 years now.  It's truly remarkable.  And I'd hazard a guess and say they'll probably handle this reasonably well.

Does anybody actually read Archie any more? I kinda feel like this, along with last year's "Archie gets married" storyline exist solely to try and get anybody to read Archie.

I think I read Archie once as a kid, and never again since.  That and I caught the made for TV live action movie while I was falling asleep once.  Don't remember much of it.
