Cthulhu

I'm looking for movies that are interesting to talk about for an audience.
You know, like The dragon lives again, or The terror of tiny town.
Movies that's premise is ridiculous, or just plain weird.

THE COWBOY KILLER

NINJA BACHELOR PARTY

SHAOLIN VERSUS EVIL DEAD

SHAOLIN VERSUS EVIL DEAD
Thanks for the tips!
One question though: Do you mean this Shaolin vs. evil dead?

Bad biology.

Try this one:

Hey, thanks!
I had no idea that Frank Henenlotter still makes movies!

Leah

yeah no.

Raffine

CHAINED FOR LIFE (1951) Starring conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton from FREAKS. One twin is on trial for MURDER! YOU get to decide their fate!

The film also features the twins singing and some really weird Vaudeville acts.

Fans of the Hiltons probably know their life story was made into a Broadway musical in the 90s called Side Show. It was not a hit - but has been very popular with community theater groups. That's where I saw it!
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

My favorite would have to be BLOOD FREAK.  Not only is the movie itself weird beyond belief, but the back stories of the two main men who brought us that movie are good fodder for discussion. Steve Hawkes has been in the news in the last six years or so when one of his big cats (we aren't talking kitty cats) got out and was ultimately killed. He is a huge supporter of fair animal treatment and the like. The main director was a nudist and even made a nudist film or two. Strange stuff that will blow an audience's mind.

The one I used to bring out when somebody wanted to see a really, really bad movie was W is War. We've heard quite a bit about Turkish Star Wars and Italian Spider Man. This is the Filipino Mad Max.

This movie has Agent W2 taking on a cult/drug cartel/private army of mostly skinny guys with mohawks, engaging in car chases slower than OJ's, shooting men off a roof without even aiming at them, and leading an all-out assault on the enemy stronghold in a Camaro with sheet metal over the windows. One of the main villains has a goatee that comes and goes from one scene to the next. But what really makes this movie special is that W is probably the only eunuch action hero you'll ever see. Yep, early in the film, the bad guys teach him a lesson by hauling him out of his house on his wedding night and making a Ken doll out of him. There's just two much weirdness and ineptitude in this movie to describe here.

Here's a couple of links.

Gotta love those motorcycles with the cardboard rocket bodies on them. :bouncegiggle:

I'll second BLOOD FREAK, but when I think of ridiculous/cheap/weird b-movies, the Holy Grail is Ed Wood's 1950s pro-transvestite documentary GLEN OR GLENDA.  Check out the dream sequence and see if you don't agree:

Also, I have Coleman Francis on the brian lately (God help me!), so I have to mention the most ridiculous/cheapest/weirdest of his movies, BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS:

The plot may not have been so ridiculous/cheap/weird, but the movie itself was wall-to-wall with nonsense, unexplained happenings and just unintentional gut-bustingly funny situations.  Just non-stop WTF moments.

Thanks! Nice piano solo, by the way.

And thanks for everyone else too!
It's for a presentation for a film club.
I'm gonna show them trailers/clips from weird exploitation and b-movies, then talk about them for a little bit.
Again, thanks for all the help, and keep them coming! :teddyr:

The Burgomaster

I just purchased DAUGHTER OF HORROR and watched it over the weekend:
