80's aliens take over cinema movie

trying to find this film saw last about ten years ago..can only remember a few bits from it...im pretty sure some aliens hi-jack/take over a cinema...one of them looks kinda like a boglin (?) ...it features that 50's ad "lets all go to the lobby"....and at the end something happens to their space ship and 2 of them are hitchiking or something? please help, im going mad on google :(  thanks :D

I'm not certain about "Attack from Mars."  There is only the one alien in the theater that I remember, and it looks like an infected body part (the kind that gets a movie an X rating).  It is a good suggestion to look into. 

My hunch would be "Invasion Earth:  The Aliens are Here" (1988).  It has an incredible number of clips from old science fiction movies being shown in a theater as aliens try to take over the town in a "Body Snatchers" sort of way.  The aliens look like bipedal bugs.
