He was telling me about the people that owned the farm across the river from them when he was a kid.  After the last time he said it, i told him he already told me that and he got mad and told me i was a smart ass

I hate that my 81 year old father is too dadburn stubborn to admit that he needs to go to the doctor and get checked for alzheimers. In the car with him today, he told me the same thing 3 times in 5 minutes.

That is frustrating. Might I recommend consulting a professional for advice on how to cope with that. It is not an uncommon problem.

Ive honestly considered going to talk to his doctor Flick. The real fun is gonna be in a few years when i have to take his keys away from him. Ive been nominated by my entire family for that joyous honor

I don't envy the honor. It could be alzheimers, it could simply be old age forgetfulness. But it really should be evaluated because one is degenerative and one is not. There has been some hopeful research in the area of hormone replacement. It seems there is a link between alzheimers and the depletion of testosterone, a common thing accompanying old age.

Good luck, sir.

DVDs thats have that weird line thing that happens.
I've got hundreds of DVDs and it only happens on two. But still...

Wierd line thing?

This is the perfect example:

That looks like a VHS "transfer".  Sometimes the original source tape will have those kind of defects, though.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Yeah, it's caused from a VHS transfer, as a part of VHS tapes has that glitchy crap and normally you wouldn't be able to see it as standard def TVs crop off the edges of an image.  But then you transfer it to a computer or DVD and watch it on an HDTV, which don't have overscan, and that stuff shows up.

It's pretty simple to remove on the computer though - just trim off a few pixels.  Don't know why more people don't do this.
