woman who heals??

I saw this movie on late night tv years ago.

The open scene is at a cookout or picnic.. where a little boy falls down and his nose starts to bleed and a woman at the cookout picks him up and the bleeding stop .  Unknown to her he has coagulopathy ( i think that's what it's called... when you can't stop bleeding).  People start to think she's a freak...

The last scene she is old and works at a gas station way outside of a town.. when she see a family with a little boy who is dying of cancer ... she gives him a hug.

Is this perhaps Resurrection with Ellen Burstyn? It sounds similar.
