Looks pretty good to me.  I know they plan for a short first season (6 episodes) to be out around Halloween.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

The graphic novels are fantastic. AMC has done a great job with some of their new series so I'm really looking forward to this.

Frank Darabont is at the helm, yeah?  I'm excited for this, thought the preview looked amazing.  I love love love the Walking Dead, so I may have to get cable for this....I'll be settling in for a 6 month contract just in time.  :)

This is pretty exciting!  Sadly, I don't have AMC, so I may have to down-er, uh, borrow a tape from a friend.  :)

Course, if they show a rerun later that night, I might be able to watch it at work if the night's pretty slow...

Interesting note: In the trailer, there's a scene where the main character, Rick, climbs into a tank.  An endless horde of zombies surround him as the camera pans upward.  I can't help but think that's a Dead Rising Tribute, as that's really similar to one of the scenes in that game.

Anyway, it should be pretty kickass!

I saw the first episode today.  It was pretty solid, though it did not seem exceptionally great to me.  I'll keep watching.

I'll drink to that one

It was alright, and the violence was no holds barred, and the FX were done by Greg Nicotero's crew.  And since Nicotero studied under Tom Savini, there's no question that the FX were gonna' be good!  I can't wait for Sunday nights now.. :bouncegiggle:

Thought it worked well in setting up the rest of the series.  Pretty decent for being a comic to tv zombie adaption, as it could've failed horribly.

I don't watch much tv but it looks to be a show I'll watch on a regular basis.

The great mystery is how the main character survived in the hospital all that time w\o getting killed and eaten.  But I like the way the guy woke up and stumbled out into a totally apocalyptic world.  I'm definitely stayin' tuned for the rest of the series.

I like the aspect that he survived for one reason or another.  Kinda didn't even think about that til you mentioning it now. :buggedout:

What was with that one zombie near the tank? They showed him a few times and he was just eerily looking at him and the tank.  And, who was on the radio?

It sucks cause I work Sunday nights, and I don't DVR.  So to try and catch it might now be a problem.

Well, you might be able to watch the epsiodes on AMC's website, or ask some a' your mates if they taped it on VHS or something. That could always be a good start

Can't watch it online.  My computer sucks and it takes me a half hour to download a three minute video.  Doing an hour long episode is spending my entire day off to watch one episode. :teddyr:

They might put it On Demand or something.  If it is I can catch it.

Stumbled across episode 1 - Halloween night 10pm - right?  I neglected to watch the 2nd episode this past Sunday, but I thought the premiere was very good!  I just can never remember to watch TV shows!!  :teddyr:

Episode 2 was pretty good (though the grossest by far) and our hero finds out, (as George Romero envisioned) that the living can be just as much of a problem (or worse) than the dead.  This is giving nothing away, but just a sideline issue to the real problem the hero is being set up for in episode 3. Episode 3 ain't gonna be pretty   :buggedout:

Oh man, you ain't kiddin'!  That scene had me in dry heaves, and my wife actually got up and said, "Ill be upstairs watching normal TV."   :bouncegiggle:

This actually gets me about her, because she watches CSI (and the gore they have on that show) but something like TWD grosses her out.  There again autopsies are a bit more conventional (and orderly) than what happens on The Walking Dead, lol
