Thats how I saw it. Yesterday I was at my friends house and he says to me "AW, dude! I totally forgot! I found something on netflix that we neeed to watch together. It IS gunna be painful, but we have to watch it. To save the world from sin, We must take one for the team."

We watched it. And then My dog died today.

Hey KYGOTC, I'm assuming you're joking about your dog dying... if not, my condolences. 

But I didn't think THANKSKILLING was painful at all, in fact, it was kinda fun.  My only complaint is they handled their nudity budget badly.

OK, it wasn't exactly "awesome," but it did have quite a few funny moments.

I watched it last night.  I just don't get into those "funny" "horror" movies, it's extremely rare that they actually work.  I will give it credit for being mildly entertaining though.

I just don't get into those "funny" "horror" movies, it's extremely rare that they actually work.

I'm not even a big fan of serious horror movies that have "funny" moments to relieve the tension.  A few years ago I heard an interview with a director (I think it was a director of one of the HALLOWEEN sequels) and he was explaining how you needed to insert humorous moments into horror movies to give the audience a break from the tension.  When I watch a horror movie, I don't want a break from the tension.  I want it coming at me full force.  If I see one more cat jump into a scene to make the audience gasp - - and then laugh - - or one more "class clown" character put on a mask and pick up a knife to try to scare everyone I think I'll cry.  Give me raw horror, I say!  One of the few movies where humor that worked as a tension-breaker was JAWS.  But there aren't many movies that can compare themselves to that one.

I agree with you on this one... Sometimes the comic breaks in a horror film plays like unnecessary laugh tracks, we seen the lone character walking in the dark a dozen of times and on queue a cat/prankster jumps from nowhere.

This is why I don't consider Evil Dead 2, Dead Alive and Shaun of the Dead as horror films and sometimes it annoys me when people do list those films as spooky films. They are great comedies or horror-comedy and should be classified with Rocky Horror Picture Show and Young Frankenstein.

LOL... I also don't consider Jaws is a horror movie either. Although the story seems like a horror film it really hard to consider that the situation is "that" impossible to avoid and since the shark cannot walk the streets it does limits his threat. For me Jaws is a story about people walking into the lion's cage, while the lion is asleep and touching the beast on the nose.
