Would you  mind locking your car door to fight crime? You would? Well, would you mind paying a fine for not locking it? Fascism? Oh, no. You still have free choice. You're free to lock your car doors or choose to pay a fine.

Believe it or not, this is coming to america

When will people start refusing to tolerate this? I lock doors on a reflex, but this is just... well, I have to call it fascism. Total state control over every aspect of life.

First seat belts, OR ELSE! Now lock your doors, OR ELSE! What next? Carry a GPS at all times so you can be found by authorities anytime, anywhere OR ELSE!

I would register, but doing so opens you up to abuse from people using the ratings system to harass you for your views and send you nasty PMs.

If someone cares so little about their property that they leave their doors unlocked that is their problem. I dont see why the local government feels its their place to babysit car owners.

I dont think anyone would harass you or send you nasty PMs. Give it a try and register.

I think Dr. FNF speaks from experience.  There is a belligerent tone to his postings.    :bluesad:

Oh!  YOU mean "...harass me for my views..."

And Dr. FNF, why would "you" care about the rating system?  The webmaster will shut it off for you at your request.  We have several members that do not participate in "karma".

It's always about money,  not to mention that it's always an uphill battle to prove the ticket was in err. It's always your word vs. the law's, just like it was with the rash of fines from  "broken" tail lights back in the day before dashcams were invented to monitor police activity.

This is just another moneymaker, and I totally agree that this is NOT a good idea.

Common sense should tell you that a locked door should be part car\home ownership, and if you don't. you just might find out why you should keep em' locked. Live and learn..
