that's Nolan Ryan, current Rangers owner, seated next to George W. Bush, former Rangers owner, during Friday nights 6-5 loss to New York.

For the record, the Rangers kicked some major Yankee buttocks the next day!! :twirl:

The Yanks were losing 5 - 1 going into the 8th inning. The Yanks were winning 6 - 5 before the Rangers got an out in the 8th. The Rangers used 5 pitchers that inning. It quieted the fans and these two down.

Yep, the Yanks did get their butts kicked the next day. But, my hopes are that the Yanks go back to the WS vrs SF.

Rangers OWNED tonight!!  Cliff Lee is a BEAST!!! :bouncegiggle: :buggedout: :teddyr:

I never thought I'd say this...Go Rangers.  Man, what an unlikeable field or teams for the World Series.

Yep, them Yanks sucked tonight. All year long, they beat the hell out of lousy pitching, and can't get a hit off good pitchers. That's the difference between the new teams and the 90s. In the 90s it didn't matter. But, don't start partying till tonight, when Burnett gets knocked out in the second. The Yanks are begging to lose.

I've seen pathetic displays by the Yanks over the years. But, nothing compares to their SUCKING this series. I never say this, but they deserve to lose. They're all around be outplayed by the Rangers. Stick a fork in them, they're done.

The Yanks would probably lobby for shorter games.  In the late stages they get their backsides handed to them.  Gotta admit, I am loving it.

CC's gonna pitch a great game tomorrow afternoon. Rangers will clinch in Arlington against Hughes. If somehow the Yanks win both, Pettite will have to pitch a perfect game (I mean that literally) to beat Lee in the 7th game.

The Burgomaster

Sabathia will implode today around the 5th inning and Texas will push about 5 runs across the plate.  Rangers go to their first World Series.

I didn't really think the Rangers could win three straight in Yankee Stadium, and I was right.  That's OK, though - now the pinstripers come down to OUR house!  Arlington is gonna be ROCKING Friday night!

CC implode? No way. He sucked the first game from over rest. Why? I don't know. The more I hear about baseball players, the more sissified they become.

The one thing about the Yanks; when their backs are against the wall, they try harder. More often then not, they succeed.

But, looking at Game 6 logically, Hughes is young and inexperienced in the playoffs. He's sucked every time he's pitched (reliever last year). Now, he's standing between them and elimination. That pressure doesn't bode well for the Yanks. Game 6 comes down to the Yanks scoring more runs then Rangers. It has to be a high scoring game for the Yanks to win.

Either way, it's been a good series. I wouldn't mind seeing a game 7.
