I couldn't believe when I'd first seen the disgraceful protests they put up at the funerals of the soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. In front of their grieving parents no less.

There's still the story about the man who took them to court for his pain and suffering at his son's funeral (killed in Afghanistan, I believe.)  He initially won, and then it was reversed, and he wound up paying for the WBC.  This if I remember right.

Much as we all hate the WBC, I'm afraid Snyder's lawsuit was frivolous.  It wouldn't be shameful for someone to pay court costs for a frivolous lawsuit; in fact, it's shameful that it doesn't happen more often.  That said, this is probably not the case to start suddenly enforcing those rules.

I don't mean "frivolous" in the common sense, but legally frivolous under the Federal Rules of Evidence.

A person who has passed on has the right to some dignity at their funeral, as their family has a right to  be free of intimidation or ridicule by those who are too happy to see them gone.

What you think is one thing, what you do is another, and for anyone to be openly ridiculed at their funeral (or to hurt their grieving parents) is beyond the definition of the world "immoral."

Rather than the earth parting, it would be more fitting for the entire church to get burnt down by lightening strikes. That would be a proper smiting for such devils.
