Newfoundland has a history of talents doing this type of stuff:

The Wonderful Grand Band (featuring Tommy Sexton and Greg Malone of Codco fame) from back in the day (70s/80s)

And more recently there's Snook

and Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers.

Honestly these bands/performers play up all the stereotypes surrounding Newfies, most of which likely do no apply to me personally although honestly I can't say they don't apply for some (just not at all for me). Still you got to admit these are funny and very talented folks. The late Tommy Sexton and "Babylon Mall" really stands out IMO.
