Hey all. I watched a movie a few years ago, and can't for the life of me remember what it's called. I actually don't remember a lot about it, but I'm pretty sure it was considered a horror movie. Honestly, when I first remembered it today, I thought it was The Serpent And The Rainbow because that movie feels very similar to it, I think. The guy(s?) goes into this house (I keep wanting to say it was a weird whorehouse, but my memory might be serving me wrong there) and through all these rooms and in all of them are different visually bizarre things. Lots of them sexual. Something about someone maybe having bird feathers? It was really trippy and I think there were parts in it that had to do with voodoo. I think there was some off-kilter sex scenes in it, too, but I could be mistaken. It was made in, I think, the 70's or 80's. I'm pretty sure I rented it from a video store. It reminded me a lot of David Lynch and Stuart Gordon's movies. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, that'd be awesome.

Possibly Netherworld? This movie stuck with me, because my older sister rented it when I was little and the video box scared the crap out of me...

The imdb description mentions winged creatures. maybe these are the feathers you remember
"A young man arrives at his father's mansion in Louisiana to discover that a secretive cult is using winged creatures to raise the dead to do their bidding."

I don't think I can post links yet, cause I am such a noob, but the first external review mentions Brothels and Voodoo.

We get a thick gothic atmosphere in a setting full of lush vegetation, huge lonely manor mansions and strange brothels with ties to voodoo. Sounds like an interesting time to me. Sadly even with the films interesting setting it succumbs to a hokey script that has very little going on.

Hope that helps.

Could be eyes wide shut directed by Stanley Kubrick. A guy goes into a place where people wear masks and f**k.
