Stacy Keach  plays a truck driver hauling meat in Australia. He begins to believe that the driver of a mysterious green van he keep encountering may be the serial killer he  keeps hearing about on the radio.  His interest in this guy starts the cops looking at him as a suspect.

He picks up a hitch hiker (Jamie Lee Curtis) who starts helping him track the van, which actually puts her in danger. They play a game of making up backgrounds the various travelers they encounter on the highway.

My wife and I enjoyed the film and I would recommend it too anyone who like thrillers.  The film has been compared to Hitchcock's Rear Window.

Interesting tidbits about the  movie:   At the time it came out is was the most expensive Australian movie ever made   ($1,800,000).

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

An excellent movie.  I caught it a couple of times on TV in the late 90s.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

The Burgomaster

I bought the DVD a few years ago.  It was the first time I ever saw the movie (even though it used to be on cable many times a year) and I really enjoyed it.

Well, here's another person who enjoyed the film and recommends it, but it does make you wonter where all the money went. It looks like a film that shouldn't have been that expensive to make.

Yeah, this was a great movie.  I used to get it confused all the time with Deadly Games (which came out around the same time).  That one I haven't seen but heard it sucked.
