It's just an idea of mine. You can post any album you want in this thread.

Favourite Heavy Metal Album:

W.A.S.P.-W.A.S.P. (1984)

Comment: Most people would classify W.A.S.P. in the Glam Metal category. In all honesty, despite for maybe the look, the band to me was more heavy metal with some shock rock aspects than glam. Just listen to their self-titled debut. It sounds much more mean, menacing and degenerate than what you would find in a traditional glam band.

Favourite Black Metal Album:

Venom-Welcome to Hell (1981)

Comment: Although many metal historians point to Venom's second album, Black Metal, as one of the inspirations for the genre of the same name, I personally feel that Welcome to Hell helped more with the musical style/studio quality of the black metal genre we know today. Raw and aggressive, this album is worth checking out.

Favourite Hair Metal Album:

Lizzy Borden-Visual Lies (1987)

Comment: An awesome band that never got the credit that they totally deserved. Musically speaking, Visual Lies is their standout album for me. You gotta love those vocal and guitar harmonies.

Favourite Thrash Metal Album:

Metallica-Master of Puppets (1986)

Comment: This was a hard one to choose. Great album though. Sad to see the band as they are today when compared to their earlier material.

Favourite Doom Metal Album:

Saint Vitus-Born Too Late (1986)

Comment: All I have to say is this: f**k yeah!

Whoops....sorry about that. But I thought that the album itself was a hair metal album.

"Voyeur" and "We Got The Power" is about as close as they come to pop/hair metal
