Emergency, ladies and gentlemen! I can only afford to grab one of two Zucker/Abrams films, Hot Shots or Hot Shots: Part Deux.
Alas, I simply cannot decide which to pick. It's driving me nuts! I can't sleep! I can't think! I can't even eat!....Okay, I can eat, but other than that, this situation has driven me to drink! -sobs-
*ahem* So then, which one?
Oh, and this can also be a "Favorite Zucker/Abrams" film thread (Airplane, Top Secret, Naked Gun, etc) as well, I suppose. :P

I felt the first had much better humor.. the second one a bit slapdash. The Rambo kickboxing spoof was pretty hilarious though. :)

I was tempted by the second one, due to the greatest use of a chicken in any motion picture ever conceived.

I'd go with something else altogether, I never found either of these films funny. I don't know what it is but I just can't get into spoof films that are too over the top, cramming a dumb, obvious joke in every second that just seems to miss.

Not surprisingly, the only bits I really remember involve Brenda Bakke. The naked backflip into bed is the first thing I remember, as seen in the tralier.

The second is where she perches on a seat, all legs and pout, amidst a bunch of drooling orange-robed Buddhist monks. Charlie Sheen comes up and says something like, 'You can't just sit here like this! These men are very devout! They've all taken vows of celibacy, like their fathers, and their fathers before them!'

I prefer the second one, if only because the Rambo films make better spoof material than "Top Gun". And they even got Richard Crenna to play along.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I'd agree.

The second for me too.

you a fan of the Naked Gun films? I like all 3 (esp the first one) and that's pretty much how I'd describe them (except I think the jokes 'hit'). never seen either Hots Shots movie though...

Yeah, I like Naked Gun. I think those films are a lot smarter at being dumb, if you know what I mean.

For me, it's definitely part one, but if you're in the mood for a similar type of film outside of the Hot Shots world, I'd go with Top Secret...
Check out my movie reviews and articles at: www.cinedump.com

Or, don\\\'t check them out - see if I care. You\\\'re not my real mom anyway. Unless, you are. In which case, whatever, I\\\'ll do what I want. It\\\'s my hot body. Y\\\'all don\\\'t know me.
