Post a link.

For the Netflix subscribers here, it looks like they are gonna be raising their prices for instant viewing

Well that kind of sucks, but it's still an unbeatable value.  A whole month of all the movies you can watch for less than the price of one new DVD.  And any movie you want, any time you want;  there's absolutely no way that premium channels like HBO can begin to compare to that.  I just wonder what a near doubling of their prices is going to do to their business.

I'll post an interesting link to something when I find one   :teddyr:

We love bad movies too. And we watch them Thursday nights, together in our Public Domain Theater. It's the next best thing to being in an actual theater together. I am looking for some suggestions for future viewings. Does anyone have any?

Wow. Didn't take long for this thread to devolve into Rick Roll links.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

So... Any links to films I can download for use in the theater?

That's the only site I'd trust for movies that are truly public domain.

That has been the main source thus far. But I have been trying to keep the ages of the films within the 70's to the 90's. Archive is flooded with films older than that. Still, it's been a good source so far.

There really aren't any public domain films later than that. I'm not sure there are any public domain films earlier than the 1970s. There used to be a few foreign films from the 1980s, but their copyrights were restored by international treaty. If it's not on Internet Archive, it's probably not public domain.

Understood. Yeah, the institution of stricter copyright law kinda makes it difficult to find good "bad" movies from the 70's and 80's.
