For Canadians, it feels pretty good do discover a $1 or $2 coin in your pocket change when you aren't expecting it.

This morning, with the day already shaping up to be a hot one, I put on my bathing suit at 6am, and went for a swim in the lake. Lived next to a lake for over five years, and finally got around to taking an early morning swim today. It was great. Nobody else in the water, not another swimmer or a boat or any sound other than birds and the faint sound of the highway. The sun was still low in the sky. And the water was great.

I should make a point to do that at least every couple of days for the rest of the summer. Mind you, I've been meaning to do it for five years, and only got around to it today. And that was because Lori and Ro are on a camping trip with a couple of Ro's friends and their moms, leaving just me and the dogs at home. Had I done it on a normal morning, chances are Ro would already be up and demanding to go with me.

...the occasional person gets me. I'm misunderstood more often than not, perhaps due to some communication problems on my part. I'm still trying to figure that out.
