This Week's Bad Movie Double Feature . . .

Rented two movies at Hasting's yesterday, both enjoyably bad:

MANEATER stars Dean Cain (remember him from LOIS AND CLARK?) as the sheriff of a small northern town where horny college students and poachers are being torn apart by the Wendigo.  This movie features incredible gore, random boobies, finger eating, a severed butt, an eerie bone yard, and Native American mysticism.  A fun watch all the way around.

THE DEAD AND THE DAMNED was absolutely the BEST zombie Western I have ever seen.  A bounty hunter is looking for an Indian who supposedly raped and killed a white virgin; he buys a comely blonde from a bride broker in a small town to help him lure in the wily native.  Meanwhile, some miners find a meteor outside this small town and bring it in, hoping to sell it for money.  But when they try to split it open, green gas leaks out and transforms the towns' inhabitants into bloodthirsty zombies.  Good zombie makeup, lots of gunplay, beautiful scenery, several random boobie shots, and artistic blood spatters make this one a must see for bad movie afficianados.
