I haven't done any music reviews on my Hub for a while so I decided to give Megadeth's new one some love this week:

In my newest installment of IT CAME FROM THE BARGAIN BIN, I take on 1984's Commie Killing Cult Classic, "RED DAWN"

The latest victim at "It Came From the Bargain Bin" is the Asylum's "I Am Legend" knockoff, "I AM OMEGA"

Another day, another review of another mediocre movie... this time the victim is 2000's mountain-climbing action saga, "VERTICAL LIMIT"

Changing it up a little - anyone who knows me knows that my two main geeky passions besides movies are music and The Simpsons. So I compiled a list of the Top Ten Most Rock N Roll Moments on the Simpsons...

Well, this is kinda cool... one of my old Hub entries about Marvel's 1970s Star Wars comic books got an out-of-the-blue boost from GeekChicDaily.com today when they featured it in a block of Star Wars related stuff on their site. Dunno how it turned up on their radar, but thanks to whoever brought it to their attention...

"It Came From the Bargain Bin" returns with a review of Roger Corman's 1982 "Alien" wanna-be, "Forbidden World" (aka "Mutant")!!!

Watching the 1967 version of "Casino Royale" made my brain hurt... so I wrote a Hub about it to try and make the pain go away.

A week or so ago a friend who knows of my penchant for CD collecting mentioned that he'd seen "tons" of copies of the last Guns N Roses album, CHINESE DEMOCRACY, at his local dollar store. (!!) I found that hilarious, and since I had never heard the album, told him to grab me one. He did, and this column is the result:

Phew! That was pretty lengthy dude.  Smile

I got the album dirt cheap of Amazon, and that was about a week after it had be released. It's a good album on it's own merit. It does not sound like a GNR record, so having it put out under that band name hurt it in my opinion. Yes, individual songs don't jump out demading repeated listens, but the record as one whole listening experience is excellent.

Yeah, I guess it was a little lengthy but I swear I wasn't intending it to be so indepth or long winded, I just sat down and started typing while listening to the CD and it just kinda wrote itself. :D

I've written a few more music-related entries since that GNR piece if y'all wanna check'em out:

The Babylon A.D. debut record is superb hard rock! They should have been massive along with the likes of Lillian Axe too. Their live album is simply amazing as well, even though it doesn't contain too many tracks from the first album. 2Caught Up In The Crossfire" and "Back In Babylon" are totally kick-ass tracks!
